I. Entry Scholarship

Entry Scholarship is to recognize academically excellent international students who will study Chinese language or take undergraduate courses for a degree at Northeastern University at Qinhuangdao (NEUQ).The scholarship falls to three levels, namely, the first prize scholarship, the second prize scholarship, and the third prize scholarship. The Entry Scholarship is awarded on the entry of the international students. The number of the scholarship winners and what level of the scholarship they get are decided by NEUQ International Education and Exchange Center (IEEC) according to candidates’ qualifications. The detail of the scholarship:

a. The first prize scholarship: 100% of tuition fee paid by the candidate.

b. The second prize scholarship: 50% of the tuition fee paid by the candidate.

c. The third prize scholarship: 30% of the tuition fee paid by the candidate.

If a long-tern Chinese language student is admitted to undergraduate courses of NEUQ, he/she will be awarded Entry Scholarship.

a. Student who has finished one year Chinese language program in NEUQ can apply for the first prize Entry Scholarship.

b. Student who has finished one semester Chinese language program in NEUQ can apply for the second prize Entry Scholarship.

II. Excellent Chinese Language Students Scholarship

This scholarship is to award excellent international students taking Chinese language courses in NEUQ. There are three levels of scholarship and they are awarded every semester. The number of the scholarship winners and what level of the scholarship they get are decided by NEUQ International Education and Exchange Center (IEEC) according to students’ qualifications. The detail of the scholarship:

a. The first prize scholarship: 1000 RMB

b. The second prize scholarship: 700 RMB

c. The third prize scholarship: 500 RMB

III. Excellent Undergraduate Students Scholarship

This scholarship is to award excellent international students who take undergraduate courses in NEUQ. There are three levels of undergraduate students scholarship and they are awarded every year. The number of the scholarship winners and what level of the scholarship they get are decided by NEUQ International Education and Exchange Center (IEEC) according to candidates’ qualifications. The detail of the scholarship:

a. The first prize scholarship: 100% of tuition fee paid by the candidate.

b. The second prize scholarship: 50% of the tuition fee paid by the candidate.

c. The third prize scholarship: 30% of the tuition fee paid by the candidate.

IV. Recommendation Scholarship

To encourage more foreign students to study in our university, we set up Recommendation Scholarship, which is to acknowledge NEUQ foreign students who recommend new students to NEUQ. For every successful recommendation, one can get an amount of scholarship equaled to 25% of the tuition fee paid for one year if he is studying in NEUQ, and 10% of that if he has graduated from NEUQ.
